Monel washers are made up of 63% nickel, 27–33% copper, along with small amounts of iron, manganese, silicon, and carbon. The Monel K500 variants also include aluminum (2.3–3.15%) and titanium (0.35–0.85%) for enhanced strength through precipitation hardening. These washers can achieve tensile strength up to 965 MPa, showcasing high yield strength and excellent impact resistance, even in freezing temperatures. They are non-magnetic, resistant to erosion, and perform exceptionally well under stress, vibration, and exposure to seawater.
